“The life of our American republic depends on the confidence that its citizens have that American election outcomes reflect ballots cast by eligible American voters,” declared GOP Congressional candidate Jim Oberweis in calling for passage of the SAVE Act.
“The SAVE Act ensures that only U.S. citizens are allowed to vote in U.S. elections. Yet given the passionate Democrat resistance in the Senate, you’d think this was an outrageous idea,” said Oberweis. “Democrats seem to be saying, ‘The nerve of Americans to think that only Americans should determine their own future!’ But of course, if you really understand the thinking of today’s Democrat leadership, that’s exactly what they believe.”
Oberweis points out that, ironically, Democrats like Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray of Washington, and Ron Wyden of Oregon, were among those who voted for the Help America Vote Act of 2002, which required voter ID for first-time voters who registered by mail. “Yet 24 years later, Democrats oppose requiring voters to produce ID to prove they’re eligible to vote? The hypocrisy is staggering!” declared Oberweis.
“Recently, for a laugh, I circulated to some friends a cartoon of a graveyard with a padlocked gate with a caption reading, ‘Democrats claim its election interference!’”, said Oberweis. “While Democrats haven’t abandoned dead voters, they’ve discovered a much more useful ally: live illegal aliens.”
New evidence reveals that illegal aliens are voting in the U.S. elections by the tens of thousands. “Does it matter?” asks Oberweis rhetorically, continuing, “Why not ask any American candidate —and their supporters— who have lost a close election by a handful of votes. Candidates and American citizens alike are being cheated.”
Notably, sanctuary cities exist almost exclusively in Democrat-run cities in Democrat-run states. In creating sanctuary cities, Democrats knew they were issuing invitations for illegals to swarm to those cities…which they did, by the millions. And yet, the extraordinary cost of relocating illegal aliens in these Democrat “sanctuary cities” is actually subsidized by federal taxpayers everywhere, including by Republican taxpayers in Republican states. “That includes you!” points out Sen. Oberweis.
“The other reason Democrat’s eagerly invited 10 million illegals across the border in the Biden Administration alone —even directing where they were relocated— was because they knew the Census Bureau merely counts them as ‘persons’, not U.S. citizens, in determining a state’s and city’s population,” noted Oberweis. “Why does that matter? Because those Census population figures are used to draw up new seats in Congress, and also to determine where your federal tax dollars are spent. The larger the population, the more federal tax dollars are allocated there. Any honest American should feel outraged by the willful corruption that took place as a matter of deliberate Biden-Democrat Party policy.”
“It’s well past time to end dishonest election outcomes by passing the SAVE Act, restoring every American’s faith in the promise of ‘one-man, one vote’…voters being cast only by eligible, honest American voters,” concluded Oberweis.
