Yesterday, GOP Congressional candidate Jim Oberweis passed the “1000” mark in in
the number of endorsements he’s secured from Southwest Floridians supporting his
Congressional campaign.
While the list includes current and former elected officials such as mayors and
councilmen, it also shows a broad base of support from everyday Southwest Floridians
such as veteran’s leaders, firemen, small business owners, teachers, housewives,
physicians, and the citizens who comprise the fabric of our community.
In celebrating the benchmark, candidate Oberweis declared: “I have had Southwest
Floridians pressing into my hands signed pledges of support since my very first
campaign event in 2025. I am deeply honored by each of those pledges, because it
tells me they feel an integral part of our team…a team committed to sending a message
to the Washington swamp that ‘this is OUR country, and we want it back.’ Even more,
I’m gratified and humbled because it tells me they know they’ll have an open door with
me…that their opinions and concerns will he heard by and matter to me and my
