In recent weeks, I’ve received requests from numerous members of the media regarding the Oberweis campaign’s Election Night poll-watching reception and media availability.
The Oberweis Election Night poll-watching reception will be held:
August 18, 2026
6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Sugar Shack – Downtown

Bonita Springs
Note: Members of the broadcast media will be able to pre-position their cameras in front of the pavilion where the candidate will give remarks and take questions.
If rain is forecasted, a tent will be erected to provide coverage for the equipment.
Members of the media will need to provide their own lighting and audio for coverage plans. A MULT box will not be available.
Broadcast news organizations wishing to interview Jim for their 4:00, 5:00, or 6:00 pm programming will be encouraged to make requests in advance, and we’ll be happy to accommodate as best we can.
On Election Night, Jim will be available for interviews throughout the evening at Sugar Shack after he arrives.
