A grassroots challenge announced at the new Naples center’s ribbon-cutting
delivers immediate impact for women, infants, and families in need.
Naples, FL —
U.S. Congressional candidate Jim Oberweis today announced that local pregnancy
crisis and resource centers successfully raised $7,000 following a community donor-
match challenge he issued during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Naples
location. The funds will support essential services for women and families facing
unplanned or difficult pregnancies throughout Southwest Florida.
The matched funds will help provide counseling, ultrasounds, baby supplies,
parenting classes, and support programs at no cost to local families. The challenge
encouraged attendees, community members, and supporters to contribute
immediately, doubling their impact and strengthening the centers’ ability to meet
rising demand.
“When families are in crisis, they need compassion and real support—not
judgment,” said Republican Jim Oberweis, candidate for Congress in Florida’s 19th
District. “These pregnancy resource centers change lives every day. I was proud to
help jump-start their fundraising and even prouder to see our community respond
so generously.”
“Jim’s offer energized the entire room,” said Scott Baier, CEO of Community
Pregnancy Clinics. “His challenge inspired donors to step up on the spot. The $7,000
raised will immediately go toward helping local mothers and babies get the care and
support they deserve.”Southwest Florida continues to see growing need for pregnancy support services,
especially for young mothers, low-income families, and women facing barriers to
healthcare access. Local centers rely heavily on community support to maintain
their free programs, volunteer networks, and outreach initiatives.
