Has More Cash on Hand Than ALL The Other Candidates Combined!
GOP Congressional candidate Jim Oberweis is leading all the current candidates for Congress in District 19 with more cash-on-hand available for his campaign than all the other candidates in the race, combined.
Below are highlights from the most recent Federal Election Commission by Oberweis for the third-quarter report:
✓Oberweis has $2,405,129.82 in cash-on-hand for his campaign, more than double his nearest competitor.
PAll eight other candidates have only $1,191,819.56 available to their races, combined.
✓The Oberweis campaign’s total receipts for the reporting period were over $540,000, despite not hosting a single fundraising event this quarter. The campaign only began hosting fundraising events this weekend, including endorsement fundraisers by the renowned local restauranteur “Jimmie the Beef Guy.”
“To continue leading the race is gratifying, especially in view of the fact it was never our intention to ramp-up our fundraising events until the last quarter of this year,” said GOP candidate Oberweis.
Oberweis has historically proven to be a very formidable fundraiser, stemming from his success as a business leader. He has been a successful fundraiser and donor for charitable causes throughout his career.
“We now have nearly 600 active supporters who have endorsed the campaign, many of whom have offered to host fundraisers for us starting this quarter,” pointed out Oberweis. “I believe this is a sign that SWFL is responding to my commitment to bring responsible economic leadership to our nation’s capital. I’m running to get government off-our-backs and out-of-our pockets. As a proven, faithful steward of taxpayer dollars, I’m going to Congress to remind the federal government that the money they spend belongs to us, the taxpayers. Getting America’s spiraling debt under control is the key reason I’m running. I’ve chosen to forfeit my retirement to take on the important task of balancing the federal budget so we can leave a stronger, safer America for our children and grandchildren. I find voters are responding well to my message as they discover what really drives me in this race.”
