EVIDENCE POINTS TO GROWING MOMENTUM FOR HON. JIM OBERWEIS, AS IMPARTIAL MEASUREMENTS SHOW HE CONTINUES TO LEAD IN FUNDRAISING AND POLLING

Oberweis Currently Holds #1 Position in GOP Congressional Race
The most recent U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC) report confirms Jim Oberweis continues to lead the field of Republican Congressional candidates seeking to succeed Rep. Byron Donalds.
For the second FEC report in a row, Oberweis shows a commanding lead in campaign finances.
In the previous FEC reporting period, Oberweis’ campaign coffers showed more than double all of the other candidates in the race, combined! Similarly, in the FEC reporting period ending December 31st, Oberweis leads all the other candidates combined by nearly $1 million dollars.

While, to date, there has been scant polling done in the race, an impartial survey conducted recently by a firm in Miami shows Oberweis leading a tightly-grouped field of announced candidates, most of whom still remain largely unknown to voters. Meanwhile, Oberweis last week began a substantial TV advertising campaign on stations in Southwest Florida.

“I sense that Republicans recognize the “Primary Election Train” is leaving the station, and after years of good leadership by Byron Donalds, they’re looking for the next steady, reliably- conservative Republican who they can trust with their vote to represent them in Washington,” said Clinton Soffer, a senior strategist and consultant to the Oberweis campaign. “Clearly, Oberweis is emerging as that front-runner.”
“In politics, it’s often said that ‘Money is the first primary.’ That means that early political donations and a campaign’s financial viability are a first indication of voter support,” declared Soffer. “Network television news is now lining up to cover Oberweis, as well. That’s another impartial indicator of front-runner status. Voters who want to know Jim better are always encouraged to reach out to his campaign and schedule a meeting. He is one of the most open, available, and tireless candidates you’ll ever meet in campaigning. While he’s a very accomplished businessman, he’s as approachable as a guy sitting next to you on a barstool. I believe that, together with strong conservative convictions, are what Southwest Florida voters are looking for in a Congressional leader,” concluded Soffer.
