Congress has one basic job: pass a budget on time. Yet year after year, Washington fails to do even that—while still collecting their paychecks.
That’s why I’m calling for a simple, common-sense standard:
Take a listen to my thoughts here
If Congress can’t do its job, members of Congress and the Senate shouldn’t get paid. Period.
This isn’t about partisanship—it’s about responsibility. Families, small businesses, and local governments balance their budgets every year.
Washington should be held to the same standard.
I’m Jim Oberweis, and I believe accountability starts with leadership. I’ve balanced budgets in business and in public service—and I’ll fight to bring that same fiscal discipline to Congress.
Will you join me in sending a message that both parties can’t ignore?
